Timon Krause was drawn to the hidden corners of the human mind from an early age. Growing up in the quiet town of Anholt in Germany's Münsterland region, he developed an unusual fascination with perception, intuition and the subtleties of human communication. While others were still finding their direction, he published his first book on mind reading at just 16 years old.
After finishing school, he moved to Amsterdam to study philosophy, combining his analytical mind with artistic expression. A stay in New Zealand took his mentalism skills to a new level. There, he refined the techniques that would later make him known internationally.
His breakthrough came in 2016 when he became the youngest person ever named "Best European Mentalist". That same year, he appeared as the first German mentalist on the hit US show Penn & Teller: Fool Us, proving to an audience of millions that his art is far more than illusion.
Krause combines entertainment with depth. His books "Du bist Mentalist!" (2018), "Kennen wir uns?" (2020) and "Sei deiner Zeit voraus" (2024) show that he is a thinker as well as a performer. His latest work, "99 Mind Hacks", opens another door into the mechanisms of how we think.
On stage, Krause fascinates audiences worldwide with shows that astonish and make people think. Following his successful 2025 German tour "Messias", he will tour with his new programme "Happy" in 2027 and explore how we really understand happiness.
Krause also appears regularly on television, including the talk shows Kölner Treff and NDR Talk Show, and on Joko & Klaas vs. ProSieben. He reads people and prompts them to see things from a different perspective.
He puts those skills to the test in prime time on ProSieben. In his show "Ich durchschaue jeden", he competes against celebrities and shows how thoughts can become traps, decisions can become illusions and reality can become a matter of perspective. It is followed by his documentary series "Ich durchschaue jeden – die Menschenkenner-Doku".
